Lesson Overviews

  1. Students will determine central ideas in the reading “Water is Life.”
  2. Students will analyze the development of central ideas, determine the meaning of figurative language, and analyze the impact of word choice in the reading “Water is Life.”
  3. Students will determine the meaning of figurative and technical language in the reading “Water is Life.” Students will also analyze how a major section of the text contributes to the development of ideas.
  4. Students will analyze how a major section of the reading “Water is Life” contributes to the development of ideas. Students will also analyze the main ideas and supporting details in the video “Why Care About Water?”
  5. Students will analyze main ideas and supporting details in video clips featuring Charles Fishman. Students will articulate how their thinking has been clarified on the issue of water sustainability.
